The Embassy of India announced that the Global Tourism Investors Summit (GTIS), which was to be held from 17-19^th May 2023 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi has been postponed and will share the revised dates subsequently.

Greetings from the Embassy of India, Japan.

We would like to inform you that as part of the G20 India Tourism Working Group, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, in partnership with CII B20 India Secretariat and Invest India (Investment Facilitation Partner) is organising the 1st Global Tourism investors' Summit (GTIS) on 17-19 May 2023, in New Delhi.

 

 

India has become an attractive destination for FDI in recent years, influenced by various factors which have boosted FDI including Ease of Doing Business and Single Window Clearances. India is an emerging mega economy which has skilled human resources and the country is rich in the natural resources with booming capital markets.

 

 

The summit will promote the Indian travel and tourism industry as an "Investment Destination", providing a common platform for the Central/State Governments and domestic as well as global investors to discuss investment possibilities in the Indian tourism industry, a bouquet of tangible investment ready projects for investors a well as partnership in form of B2B and B2G linkage.

 

 

At this event, the leading players in tourism and hospitality sector, comprising of hotel and resort chains, infrastructure companies, travel and logistics players, demand aggregators, media organisations, private equity companies, venture capital, multilateral institutions, Start-ups, Innovators etc. from all over the globe are expected to showcase their strengths while the Government of India along with various State Governments will also be highlighting myriad investment opportunities.
